QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
I have registered or unregistered with the City’s Resident Registration Office. Do I have to register/unregister with Stadtwerke Konstanz separately as well?
Are you a new resident of our city who was never supplied with electricity, gas, power or water by us? Then you’ll have to enter into an energy supply agreement with us first. This is done quickly and conveniently: using our Tariff calculator, you can online find the electricity tariff which suits best for your needs and order it immediately in just a few steps – quickly and easily. After that, you’ll receive a supply confirmation from us.
Alternatively, you can download the electricity supply contract from our Download centre, complete it and mail it to us at the following address:
Stadtwerke Konstanz
Customer Services
Max-Stromeyer-Straße 21–29
78467 Konstanz
The customer service advisers in our Energiewürfel customer service centre will be happy to help you personally when registering or unregistering for an energy supply agreement.
If you are moving away from Constance, you can take your electricity agreement with you, so you don’t need to change anything. We will need your new address, the new meter number and the dates of your moving in and out. We will take care of the rest.
Alternatively, you can cancel your energy supply contract in writing directly in the Energiewürfel customer service centre or on the customer web portal. Please observe the notice periods of your energy supply contract.
Do I have to cancel my electricity supply agreement when moving?
No, you can easily take your Stadtwerke Konstanz electricity contract with you when moving. Simply tell us your new address, the new meter number and the dates you’re moving in and out: either in writing by email to kundenservice@stadtwerke-konstanz.de or online on our customer web portal.
I would like to register for electricity supply with Stadtwerke Konstanz. What documents do I need?
To get supplied with electricity from us, it would be best if you order the electricity tariff that best suits your needs online via our tariff calculator – this is very easy.
Note: The tariff calculator would then have to be translated.
Alternatively, we would need your completed and signed electricity supply agreement (online available for download from our LINK Download centre or directly in our Energiewürfel customer service centre).
In both cases, we would need your meter number and your expected annual consumption, apart from your address and contact details. If you don’t have any data for it yet, we will be happy to help (Energiewürfel customer service centre)
I have just moved and have no electricity. Why is that?
The meter system on site is shut off if you don’t have any electricity. In that case, please get directly in touch with us.
In all other cases, we will always supply you with electricity – even if you don’t have a valid electricity supply agreement with us yet. Temporarily, we will supply you at the basic tariff, until you have selected a different tariff.
Why is the Stadtwerke Konstanz Ökostrom (eco power) tariff better than the basic tariff?
If you select our Ökostrom tariff, your contract term runs until the end of every supply year. The contract is then automatically extended by another 12 months, if it is not cancelled within 2 months before its expiry date. This allows us to pre-purchase our electricity for longer periods and thus at a lower price.
Can the monthly advance payment be debited on another date apart from the 1st of every month? Can I change the amount of it?
For organisational reasons, it is impossible to select an individual date for your monthly payment. You can, however, change the amount anytime on our LINK Customer web portal.
When will my electricity meter be read? Can I do that on my own?
You’ll find an overview of the dates and times for meter readings in our LINK District meter reading list. You are also welcome to enter your meter reading via the LINK Customer web portal.
You don’t have to be at home when the meter reading takes place – in apartment buildings, the meters are usually located in the cellar and can easily read by us. If you live in a single-family house and our meter reader doesn’t catch you on the date of the meter reading that would be no problem – he will then leave you a postcard, on which you can conveniently enter your readings.
